SF Media win first ever Business in The Community Award

Mansfield based online marketing firm SF Media have been recognised for their work in the voluntary sector by being awarded the Business in the Community Award at the Mansfield Volunteer Award ceremony.

The Mansfield Volunteer Awards, which took place at the John Fretwell Centre on 4th June 2015, is organised by Mansfield District Council and Mansfield Community and Voluntary Services (CVS) to celebrate volunteering in the local community and to acknowledge all the volunteers in the district over the past 12 months.

This year’s event saw the introduction of the new ‘Business in the Community’ award category, with SF Media being nominated by Kate Boughton at Mansfield CVS for their work in supporting the voluntary sector by building a brand new website for Mansfield CVS completely free of charge.

Alongside running a growing business, Directors Peter Scully and Jamie Fryatt have given countless hours of design, development, project planning and training time over the past 9 months in order to deliver a website that Mansfield CVS and the voluntary sector would be proud of. Volunteering and Group Support Officer Lesley Watkins praised SF Media’s contribution:

SF Media have shown fantastic support to Mansfield CVS, by not only advising on website options, but in building a new website for us. Both Peter and Jamie have been totally supportive of and genuinely interested in our work here at Mansfield CVS, and have gained an insight into the community and voluntary sector, the services delivered and the benefits to local communities and society as a whole. We at Mansfield CVS would like to thank SF Media for helping us to reach out to organisations and communities using efficient and up-to-date methods, they have been superb.

SF Media Marketing Director Peter Scully was delighted to receive the award, saying:

We are very proud to receive the first ever Business in the Community Award. The ceremony celebrates all the fantastic people that are involved in the voluntary sector who are very much the unsung heroes of our community, so to be recognised alongside them for our contribution is very humbling.
